Resolving Orthodontic Problems
Nowadays, with the advent of mini-implants, maximum anchorage has become possible and unwanted side effects have been reduced to a minimum. Mini-implants which are also known as Temporary Anchorage Devices (TADs) are small titanium bone screw or stainless steel bone screws which are placed either in buccal alveolar bone or the palatal side. These bone screws can be placed on the paramedian area...
متن کاملResolving Wicked Problems In Information Systems Design
Wicked problems are subjective, interrelated and have no stopping rule. In a group that spans organizational boundaries, the resolution of wicked problems is especially problematic, as participants share minimal domain-knowledge. This paper discusses alternatives to current models of collaborative problem-solving, organizational innovation, and IS design, to understand how we may manage the pro...
متن کاملResolving Observability Problems in Distributed Test Architectures
The introduction of multiple remote testers to apply a test or checking sequence in a test architecture brings out the possibility of controllability and observability problems. These problems often require the use of external coordination message exchanges among testers. In this paper, we consider constructing a test or checking sequence from the specification of the system under test such tha...
متن کاملResolving beam transport problems in electrostatic accelerators
2014 This paper reviews problem areas in beam transmission which are frequently encountered during the design, operation and upgrading of electrostatic accelerators. Examples are provided of analytic procedures that clarify accelerator ion optics and lead to more effective beam transport. Suggestions are made for evaluating accelerator design with the goal of improved performance. OPTICS, POLAR...
متن کاملMolecular Gas in M82: Resolving the Outflow and Streamers
We present a high–resolution (3.6, 70 pc) CO(J = 1 → 0) mosaic of the molecular gas in M82 covering an area of 2.5×3.5 (2.8 kpc×3.9 kpc) obtained with the OVRO millimeter interferometer. The observations reveal the presence of huge amounts of molecular gas (> 70% of the total molecular mass, Mtot ≈ 1.3 × 10 M⊙) outside the central 1 kpc disk. Molecular streamers are detected in and below M82’s ...
